Week 23 Summary (09/15/1941 - 09/21/1941)
Week Twenty-Three of the 1941 BBW Replay is in the books and while New York was able to clinch the AL pennant last week, this week St. Louis was able to clinch the NL pennant, and thus, our World Series participants are confirmed. The NL made great strides in catching up with the NL in the number of games played this past week, but as of this date no team has reached the 150 games played mark, but that won't last long. Both World Series opponents are looking to get their players at least a few days of rest and to get their pitching rotations set up. The Yankees are expecting Charlie Keller and Red Rolfe to both return to the lineup in the next few days and both are expected to be ready to go when the World Series begins. Enos Slaughter has returned from his injury, but so far has been limited to pinch-hitting duties only. He too is expected to be ready to go when the World Series starts.
