Week 14 Summary (07/14/1941 - 07/20/1941)
Week Fourteen of the 1941 BBW replay is in the books and what a week it was. A lot of doubleheaders, and a lot of games were played, and the result was some serious shuffling in the middle of the standings in both leagues, but both of the league leaders maintained a comfortable lead. Pittsburgh finally reached the 80 games played mark, while Detroit is the only team to have reached the 90 games played mark. There is another busy week coming up, so all teams but Pittsburgh (89) will have reached and passed the 90 games played mark. 1941 Pittsburgh Pirates In the AL, New York has maintained its comfortable lead plus they get the enjoyment of watching Chicago, Cleveland, and Boston take turns beating each other, all unable to make a charge upwards toward the leader. A week ago, the Yankees took all four games in Chicago, but then White Sox turned around and took 2-of-3 from Boston, the two wins being shutouts.
