Week 11 Summary (06/23/1941 - 06/29/1941)
1941 Boston Braves Week Eleven of the 1941 BBW replay is in the books, and it was another exciting and interesting week. Detroit outfielder Barney McCosky hit for the second cycle of the season, the first having come just last week, but the big news of the week was that Cincinnati hurler Elmer Riddle threw a perfect game versus Philadelphia in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday. Monte Pearson followed up in Game Two with a one-hitter … a long day for the Phillies hitters. Week Twelve is the halfway point of the season and is followed by a three-day All-Star break, but for now, this past week was a bit of a topsy-turvy one.
