Week 7 Summary (05/26/1941 - 06/01/1941)
Week Seven of the 1941 BBW replay is in the books and it was quite a week. Friday (May 30) was Memorial Day and there were eight doubleheaders as everybody got in two games. Saturday was a travel day, followed by another doubleheader extravaganza and there was a total of six doubleheaders on Sunday (June 1). All that, and yes, the season has moved into the month of June. All the AL teams have reached the 40-games-played mark while in the NL there are three teams who haven't reached 40 yet, but it won’t be much longer. 1941 St. Louis Cardinals The doubleheaders played this week did cause some churn in the daily standings, but at the end of the week, there really wasn't much change. Cleveland took two from Chicago and moved into second place in the AL, but then they lost two to New York and moved right back into third. St. Louis and Brooklyn are continuing their dogfight for first place in the NL but losing two games in one day to their crosstown rivals in New York didn’t real...
